3 Ways to Grow Your LinkedIn Profile
From creating a unique headline, sharing insightful posts and listing a call to action, these are just a few ways to give your LinkedIn profile a facelift.
The Headline
Your headline, along with your name, shows up when you share a post, comment on someone else’s post, send an invitation to connect, or many of the other LinkedIn actions. This headline should stick out, and convey more than just a job title.
To create a headline unique to your individuality, ask yourself “What one topic or field do I want to share content and gain followers for?” Note: You can look at others’ titles and replicate their style. Notice what they convey in the headline, rather than focusing on their specific job title.
Create explosive posts
LinkedIn posts have the potential to receive countless likes, shares, and comments because they’re either unique or inspiring. Try to observe these posts and replicate the type of content. There are four important types of posts: sharing personal stories, supporting an opinion, disproving a common belief, and sending out positivity. Begin with posting quotes or articles and then try sharing longer posts that ignite thoughtful questions or comments. Remember to also reply quickly to comments consistently!
Call to Action
Make sure to include a call to action near the end of your post. Want more engagement? You can incentivize your viewers and readers to follow you or share your posts by giving free consultations, gifts, subscriptions, or giveaways. Think about the goals you want to achieve and how your followers will help you get one step further to these goals. Ask yourself how you’ll measure success for your post, profile, and long-term goals.
